We are absolutely thrilled to extend a huge and heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to Cecilia Granat of 10.8, Anastasia Forbes (10.8), Henrikas Starus (10.8) and Lola Stojadinovic (10.7) who all won a prestigious award for their participation in The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2021!<\/p>\n

Cecilia won a Gold Finalist Award in The Queen\u2019s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2021! Out of a record-breaking 25,648 competition entries this year, only 171 were selected as Gold Finalist Awards.<\/p>\n

Being selected as a Gold Finalist Award means that your piece was so highly commended that it was submitted to the Final Judging Panel for its consideration to be awarded the Junior or Senior Winner or Runner-up prize. Congratulations Cecilia on your outstanding achievement!<\/p>\n

Anastasia won a Gold Award, whilst Henrikas and Lola both received a Silver Award for their stories! The Royal Commonwealth Society only awards a limited number of Gold, Silver and Bronze awards to submissions in this competition.<\/p>\n

These four students rose to the occasion and took on the challenge of participating in the world\u2019s oldest international writing competition for schools just 4 weeks before their final exams back in May. We are extremely proud of you!<\/p>\n

We encourage you and all our students at St Clare College Pembroke Secondary to continue expressing your ideas through writing and harnessing the power that your voice holds within your immediate and global community. Remember, you can be the change you wish to see so please continue to write for a better world.<\/p>\n
